Abstract: The aim of this work is to analyze the possibilities to obtain energy by using the “Water Hammer” effect. It is based on a modified and improved “Ram Pump” design. Main components of the project are the following:  a Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG), a DC Boost Converter and a Grid Tie Inverter (GTI). The energy obtained is dumped into the electric grid with the GTI in order to supply the customers. In order to validate proposals included in this work several PAIM simulations have been done.
