Abstract: Nowadays, most lighthouses does not use LED technology for its lighting, instead it is used halogen or incandescent lamps of 1.000 Watts. Furthermore, for having such high power, it is needed to use a backup power due to the normal absence of electrical supply, that backup power is achieved in the form of fuel. With the new achievements on renewable energy sources, the society is trying to become independent from fuels in order to be environmental friendly as well. The project´s goal is to learn about the construction and operation of a Maximum Power Point Tracking connected to a Solar Panel, using a Full-Bridge Converter in order to feed the energy demands of a lighthouse.
