Abstract: A study about a real case in a camping from Asturias (North of Spain) opening every day. In these moments use several fossil energy sources in different areas and services. The initial idea is based in to replace all the actual systems by a district heating with woodchip that the owner of the camping can produced because he has a forest and the machinery necessary to collect wood for fuel, except a chipper. In addition to the actual situation, they are thinking about to double the apartments, triple the cottages, and to enlarge the area for camping. So the project is going to study if it is better to lay out the district heating with woodchip in the enlargement. Finally it is going to study alternatives to exploit their wood otherwise, even without a district heating.
