Abstract: This work aims to design a hybrid solar/wind lamppost to take advantage of wind and solar PV to get the energy to supply the system autonomously by means of energy storage systems based on Lithium batteries. The work focus on the mechanical field without going into details as to the relevant electronic part, which will be described according to their functional description in the system. The main objective will be to carry out the design, sizing, selection and analysis of the components of the aforementioned hybrid lamppost, among which are: The wind generator, the photovoltaic generator, the LED fixtures, the battery modules and all supporting elements of the structure of the system. Attention will be given to the aesthetic and functional design of the system as well as take into account maintenance and safety considerations when carrying out the designs.
