Abstract: The proposed project is based on optimizing energy production from a wind turbine for power generation that will be inject into DC bus. This process is performed using PSIM software. The system consists on a permanent magnet generator coupled to a wind turbine which transmits its mechanical power to generate AC electrical power. Then, the electric power is transmitted to a three-phase rectifier for voltage step and it is sent to a converter (Boost) to dump on the DC bus. The Boost converter will be controlled by a program in C language into MCU that will be responsible for regulating the parameters of the converter to achieve the extraction of the maximum potential provided by the turbine. This project will be eWRE project which is involved in the subject of Industrial Applications of Power Electronics within Master’s degree of Industrial Engineering.
